Barefoot In The Park will be a driving force in advocating arts education for all ages, promoting strong  cultural development in our communities, and providing financial support for arts education and program deveopment for both the fine and performing arts.  The organization’s goal is to support a thriving arts community through a yearly festival and ongoing outreach.

Barefoot in the Park is a 501(c) 3 non-profit festival whose mission is to raise awareness of the arts and to support arts education in Gwinnett County. For the past nine years, the festival has dedicated a substantial portion of the event revenues to the Community Foundation of NE GA for our Arts Education Scolarship Fund.  This fund is a  scholarship program that support students in the visual and performing arts.

Since 2005 Barefoot in the Park has awarded more than $60,000 to the Visual and Performing Arts, in addition to an average of $6,500/year in Artist’s Awards. Proceeds from the  Barefoot in the Park Festival go to support arts education through scholarhsips. Applications are submitted and scholarships are awarded yearly to individuals in both visual and performing arts.

The Festival provides Art Experiences for all ages; from the Childern’s Art Park, Student Art Exhibit and the Adult Learning Village, individuals have an opportunity to participate in artistic projects and watch professional Visual Artist demonstrate their talents. Performing Artists from across Metro Atlanta perform on the Main Stage and Second Stage  throughout the weekend. An Artists Market, which draws outstanding regional artists, not only inspire visitors but also gives art buyers access to  outstanding original art to add to their collections.

Donations to Barefoot in the Park Arts Education Scholarship Fund will make it possible to continue growing Art Awareness and Appreciation in our community and provide more Arts Education Scholarships in the future. Please join us in supporting arts education. Barefoot in the Park is a registered 501(c)3 non-profit.
